Ok, the last of Bellas puppies went home last nigh, which means it is time for all of us to do our quarterly safety drills, and re familiarize ourselves with what matters.... SECURITY!!! I scheduled a mandatory fire drill this morning, everyone showed up, Lulu came out with her rollers still in her nub, and her little sleep mask on, that was pretty funny, although she didn't think so. I had the security company come out and double check all the security camera feeds, the video monitors in the office were a little fuzzy, so I had them upgraded. Mom went out and got some guard houses that we have systematically positioned around the yard, she calls them dog houses, but they are great stopping points during my daily patrols...gets me a little shade, and a place to reposition my utility belt (those flashlights get heavy) Stinky and Smokey have taken up alot of slack, they are in charge of night patrols, I need my beauty sleep you know, you can't keep this buff, charming, and sharp without at least 8 hours of shut eye. Days are pretty quiet unless the UPS guy makes a delivery, or one of the neighbors is trimming their hedges. I take the first shift, Cooper will take most afternoons, and Friday mornings (I tan in the afternoons, and have a twice weekly massage, my pedicure on Thursday afternoons, acupuncturist on Tuesdays, and then my life coach every Friday morning~gotta stay on track) Lulu is supposed to fill in here and here, but she spends more time looking in the mirror and quaffing in her uniform, than actually doing anything useful.
Well, the cameras are in place, the monitors are working well, the patrol schedule is posted, and the speakers are all set up. We are here, to serve and protect, sound the alarm....welll...to serve and protect, eat some chips, watch some tv, make their weekly massage appointments, and also to make sure that the house stays in line.
