Most of these are rants and stuff by the fruitloops that live here with me (you know who you are) But you know, allot of folks wonder what happens day to day in a place around here. No, it isn't all puppy breath, and cute photo ops (although I do photograph well if I must say) There is allot of work that mom and dad do all the time that makes my cute little head spin. I thought that the world might be interested. If you aren't Lulu is waiting impatiently to get on here since she can't remember the password to dads computer so she can blog (and we all KNOW it ALL ABOUT LU!~ note of sarcasm there) Anyways, take notes if ya gotta, and try to keep up:
5:30am, or when Bella starts barking because she is hungry or Hank is doing the pee pee dance (don't tell him I said that) Mom comes stumbling (ok, walking, but with naturally curly hair, she can be scary with that bed head at that time of the morning) She turns off the alarms, gets everyone up, and out of bed, up and moving and out in the yard. Sometimes she has to carry a few of us individually out there (Hank, Coop and Roo hide under the covers).
While we are all out there sniffin and doing our thing, she is cleaning the floors. She is neurotic about the floors and stuff, she must have stock in Clorox, every day, bleach bleach bleach. Sometimes she puts Pine Sol in it so it smells good too. While that is drying, if we have puppies in the house, she goes in, gets them up, weighs them (at least for the first month every day) checks out everyone, changes their bedding, washes the floor in there with this vinegar stuff (she says puppies can't be by chemicals like bleach, so she uses natural stuff in there) She plays with them for 10-15 minutes or so, gives everyone kisses and hugs, then checks her emails, answers LuLu's fan mail (can you believe that one, if people only knew how bad Lu's looks when she gets up in the morning!) Once the floor is dry, she lets us back in, and gets us breakfast. She will also fix the puppies breakfast, and get everyone their vitamins, and supplements. Then she puts us back out while she gets in the shower and gets herself ready to go.
She is off to her day job at about 7:30. Dad gets up, about this time, and he refills out food bowls, water bowls, and lets us in and out again. He hangs out with us until mom gets home around 11:30. He cleans up our messes (CeCe has a thing for destroying dog beds) and keeps Hank and Roo in line. He cleans up the yard after us, and is always doing stuff around the house. Mom comes home and checks on us, gives us hugs and head scratches, then she goes back to work until 4-5. She feeds us again, and plays with all of us for a few hours when she gets home. He and dad hang out in the yard when they finish all their chores and dinner. Dad got mom a really great swing in the back yard, they sit out there every night with us, listening to the radio, playing fetch with us and stuff, and just letting us run all over the place to burn off our 'energy'.
Dad rounds everyone up around 8:30-9 and gets us all in the house. Mom refills water bowls again, and gets everyone all set up in their beds (Hank refuses to sleep with anyone other than CeCe, Roo farts in his sleep-so he isn't real popular in the dog beds, and Cooper snores, so we all have to rotate.) Mom hits the hay around 9:30-10, dad normally goes to be a little bit later. He locks up, turns on the alarms, and makes sure we are all ready for bed.
I know there is tons of other stuff that mom is always working on whether it is the web site, or puppy stuff, or vet runs, or ordering this or that from us. Dad is ALWAYS got something going on, painting the house, working in the yard, keeping the cars all nice and clean and shiny. But now you know sort of what mom and dad do to keep all us all in line.
